I came across a simple idea:
If someone is wearing shoes that do not fit, the answer is not always to force their feet to adapt.
Sometimes, they just need different shoes.
I think life can be like that.
We often tell ourselves:
“I should get used to this.”
“I just need to work harder.”
“If I grow enough, maybe I’ll finally fit.”
But maybe the opposite is also true.
Instead of changing yourself to fit your life, you can change your life to fit yourself.
Bigger shoes are not necessarily better shoes.
A more impressive life is not necessarily a better life.
For some people, a good life may include:
time alone,
time with family,
walking,
saunas,
reading,
travel,
and plenty of quiet.
That is enough.
Life is not a competition to see who can wear the biggest shoes.
What matters is being able to walk comfortably in your own.
